Evaluation of Compositional Models and PVT correlations for Iraqi Light Crude Oils Properties

Evaluation of common compositional models and PVT correlations are carried out against field data for light crude oil from north Iraqi reservoirs. The reported the evaluation significant to Petroleum industry, as various international local companies operate in this region. comprehensive program MultiflashTM 7.2 is utilized, employing Peng-Robinson (1976) Redlich-Kwong-Soave (1972). formation volume factor, bubble point pressure, solution gas-oil ratio, saturated viscosity chosen evaluation.The results demonstrate that (1972) models, with some adjustments, exhibit much higher accuracy compared correlations. For example, errors between model's predictions ratio 9% (PR) ad 17% Redlich Kwang-Soave (RKS) model. In contrast, correlations, obtained. lowest (32%) obtained Ikiensikimama Ajienka (2012), while above 90% (the highest) by Petrosky Farshad (1993).
